Are You OVER being overworked, stressed out and anxious?

You're pulled in 10 different directions all at the same time. Your mind won't stop racing and you feel out of control.  At times, it's nearly impossible to concentrate at work and by the time you get home, you are so exhausted that it's difficult to even get dinner on the table or help the kids with homework. You've been pulling back at work, distancing from friends, and feel 'checked-out' around family. The only thing that seems to bring you some peace, let alone sleep, is a glass (or three) of wine, hours of Netflix, or chocolate cake.

What's getting in the way of your happy+healthy?

When you look back at your life, you can clearly see all of your accomplishments. In fact, you've done exactly what you "should" have done the whole way through - established a good career and climbed the corporate ladder, raised children and cultivated meaningful relationships - and yet there is something missing. Racing thoughts, worry, and anxiety flood in.  Followed by self-doubt and no motivation.  You're justified in grabbing that six-pack or bottle of wine on the way home, but the next day you beat yourself up for being absent from the family again and for having a cloudy head the morning - you’re starting to wonder if you have a problem with alcohol.

Anxiety therapy in Spokane, WA can help

I help driven and successful people who are overwhelmed and anxious, find peace and purpose. By learning healthy strategies for thinking and behaving with intention, you can live a purposeful life filled with meaning. Let's figure it out together, one step at a time.

Are you ready to take back control of your life from anxiety? Call me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation, at my Spokane location 509-999-8696.

📗HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ALERT!! 📗 I recently listened to the book 'You Are a Badass' by Jen Sincero. I haven't come across too many books where I connect and agree with so many of the suggestions and insights that are laid out in this book.⠀
.⠀
I kept saying to myself (often out loud 🤣): "Yep, I've told clients that" AND "Definitely, I totally agree" AND "Oooo, good point!"⠀
.⠀
It quickly becomes clear that the resonating takeaway is #loveyourself. ❤️ And, while easier said than done, what an amazing message!⠀
.⠀
This book Provides important introductions to self-love, gratitude, forgiveness, affirmations, manifesting, changing unhelpful thoughts... Basically how to get out of your own way. ⠀
.⠀
Oh, and BOUNDARIES! 😍 It's becoming clear to me that a self-help book that doesn't include a discussion about boundaries is not actually much help. ⠀
.⠀
I'm always looking for new books to listen to/read... ❣️ Do you have a suggestion? Let me know! 👇👇⠀

I just finished listening to 🐸 Eat That Frog 🐸 by Brian Tracy - A book summarizing more than 20 years of research synthesizing the "best and most practical techniques for setting and achieving personal and financial goals."⠀
.⠀
While I wasn't able to jump on board with ALL of the suggestions, there are a few gems I'm choosing to put into practice:⠀
.⠀
(1) "There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important things" - choose wisely. 🤓⠀
.⠀
(2) Disengage from technology on a regular basis - in the morning... wait to check emails/voicemails, and don't even think about getting onto FB. 📵⠀
.⠀
(3) The Pareto Principle (or 80/20 rule): 2 out of the 10 items on my todo list will be worth more than the other 8 items put together ➡️Make the 20% of high value items my priority - ALWAYS (aka eat the 🐸)!⠀
.⠀
Have you read or listened to this book? What gems did you take away? 👇👇 Drop me a comment!⠀

🍖🍖 NEW BLOG POST - check it out! 🍖🍖 The Ham Story: Quit doing things that aren’t serving you!⠀
.⠀
💫See blog for full post (link in bio) INCLUDING: How to Determine What Needs to be Taken OUT of Your Routine 💫⠀
.⠀
👇Let me know... What is it that you have decided you no longer need to do? 👇⠀
.⠀
Don't cut the ends off of the ham 🍖 just because that's what you've aways done!⠀
.⠀
Trying to do everything increases anxiety and makes us feel crappy about ourselves because we are constantly failing to meet the underlying expectation of perfection (for those of you who know me, you know my opinion about expectations, but that’s an entirely different post 🤣). It’s terribly easy to fall into a routine of doing stuff without giving much attention to outcome. If you continue to do tasks because “that’s what I’ve always done,” you will be setting yourself up for disappointment.⠀
.⠀
Take a look in your life. See what you're doing repeatedly that doesn't really have a purpose: thoughts - feelings - behaviors that aren't serving you. If we go on autopilot, we miss opportunities to let go of (a.k.a. stop doing) the things that aren’t really benefiting us. We miss the opportunity to make our lives work for us. ⠀
